Martin is one of the founding partners who established the commercial division of MRJ and helped the company grow from a start-up company to where it is today.
Martin has been in the construction industry since 1986 starting as a Field Engineer working for a heavy construction contractor building Navy piers and bridges. In 1989, he began working for GLY Construction as a Project Engineer and was promoted to a Project Manager working on commercial and industrial projects in the greater Puget Sound area. In 1995, Martin left his previous position as Project Manager to launch the commercial division of MRJ Constructors.
Martin has diversified experience in all levels of commercial, retail, industrial, heavy, and residential construction. His primary focus at MRJ is acting as the Chief estimator, building and maintaining relationships with great clients, marketing and preconstruction services.
Martin works with clients and design teams on their projects from the early developmental stage through the conceptual estimating and into the preconstruction phase of the project, providing alternative building systems and cost alternates to ensure that the client’s budget meets their expectations.
Martin attended Washington State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and a Minor in Business.
