B/E Aerospace Site Expansion project
Since moving into their currently facility, B/E Aerospace (now Collins Aerospace) expanded their operations as they grew and quickly had a need to provide additional parking to accommodate their growth in business and staffing.
B/E Aerospace approached MRJ early on to help evaluate options to provide over one hundred additional parking stalls. MRJ worked with the design team and came up with an idea to build underground detention vaults where their existing detention wet ponds were located.
The project consisted of over 4,500 cubic yards of export and 4,200 cubic yards of imported fill material. The underground vault has a capacity of over 200,000 cubic feet of volume capacity covered with over 24,000 square feet of hollow core planks.
MRJ started construction in the late spring and was paving within six months to beat the wet season. MRJ completed the project on time and within budget
