The Northwest School-Theatre Room project

In the Winter of 2016, MRJ Constructors was approached by Rohleder Borges Architecture to perform renovations throughout the main campus of the Northwest School. After being selected as the General Contractor, MRJ spent the following 6 months working with the team coming up with value engineering ideas to develop a project that fit within the budget and restricted timeframe. Renovation of the Skylight Room, Theater Room and Computer Lab started once school got out in Summer of 2017.

MRJ spent the summer tearing off the old roof, installing in-and-out-of-plane connections to the existing roof structure, installing the new parapet braces, adding new custom skylights with Solar Smart operable vents and installing over 3,000 SF of new torch down roofing. MRJ simultaneously installed a new footing drain system, poured a new concrete patio for the Skylight Room, upgraded the interior finishes in the rooms including new flooring and custom wood stained casework, custom stainless-steel sink, new roller shades and interior painting.
